English translation

What I Want to Become,

There are lots of things I need to do.
Ah, at the sight of that pile,
it feels like my mind is being crushed;
suddenly, such life is becoming natural.
I do it for me, or for other people?
I don’t even know that.
At the same time, I spend that natural
everyday life with an indifferent attitude.

Even if I’m hurt, I’ll laugh!
I thought that was the most effective way.
I felt good, but now I’m in pain.
Inside of my head, I scream.

What do I want to become, trying so hard?
I’ll do my best until I make it happen.
What did I want to become?
No matter how much I cry, nothing changes,
but there’s no need to stop the tears,
it’s just how things are now.

When was the last time
I thought about it?
The are so many questions that remain unsolved,
but somehow I can accept it now.

One more happy episode about a friend that came back.
The only one looking envious of everyone is me.
I wonder what I was doing.

Doing your best every day, can you become something?
Nobody knows.
Again, I couldn’t meet expectations.
Sometimes I want to cry, and it looks like I hate everyone,
but these are tears that don’t have to be stopped,
it’s just how things are now.

With the stubbornness I built
little by little to protect myself,
smiling more than before is a bit awkward;
I think I’ll take care of it myself.

What do I want to become, trying so hard?
I’ll do my best until I make it happen.
What did I want to become?
No matter how much I cry, nothing changes,
but there’s no need to stop the tears,
it’s just how things are now.
